Introduction and History

The ICG Software Group is a company leading the development and commercialisation of innovative software solutions predominantly for Point of Sale and Business Management application.

 

The company was founded in 1985 with the goal to provide end users a powerful, intuitive, yet easy to use set of applications for Hospitality, Retail, and Distribution Industries.

 

In 1992 the company developed a a long term strategic business plan outlining the need to produce high level quality software using latest technologies and development tools.

 

And so in 1995, ICG was the first company in the world to develop visual and touch technology for Hospitality Establishments. The excellent reception of the product from the European market meant the software quickly spread internationally, and significantly contributed to the expansion of the ICG Software brand and products. 

On one hand the company develops high end, high value point of sale (POS) software solutions for Hospitality, Retail, and Distribution Sectors.

 

Hospitality:

In the first of these sectors, ICG offers customised hospitality software solutions for Restaurants, Fast-Food, Night Clubs, Cafeterias, Hotels, Resorts, Spa's and Cruise Ships; these solutions comprise of touch terminals, hand held terminals for table ordering, and business management software, sales centralisation as well as multi outlet control of chain stores or franchises.

Also included in our Hospitality is our extensive Event Management, Catering, Function and Rental Management Software Applications

 

Retail:

ICG also offers technology with an added value in the Retail sector with retail software solutions for Fashion, Boutiques, Hairdressers, Cosmetic Stores, Perfume Stores, Supermarkets, Specialty Shops, and Franchises. 

 

Additionally, the company offers a centralised business management system through Web Service which allows managing an entire business chain from anywhere worldwide. This middleware application acts as a seamless bridge between all ICG Software applications meaning real time data flow and communication.

ICG also caters to the "low end" cash register and point of sale market by having created another division called HioPOS that is indeed a unique all in one point of sale solution; self-installable, easy-to-use, and low cost and developed using .NET technology. 

After 25 years, ICG now extends to over 50 countries worldwide; USA, France, Portugal, United Kingdom, Ireland, Greece, Cyprus, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Mexico, Panama, Uruguay, Dominicana Republic, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, Emirates, Tunis, Algeria, Nigeria, Angola, Morocco,  Turkey, Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Thailand, Taiwan, Green Cape, Madagascar, Andorra...
